Smile ViDEO: Beaver Bay to Split Rock River Out & Back Overnighter...Superior Hiking Trail

This is a last minute trip to Superior Hiking Trail in Northern Minnesota. Just need to get out and ramble up. The trail was really muddy but temps were high 70ºs and down to 50º at night. Big Moon. Bugs were at bay. Wildflowers along the trail were in Full Glory. Walked 25 miles in and out. Longer than I wanted to but Nature dictates the route.
One of the best Rueben sandwiches I have ever devoured after.

    Shug,
Which model of Thrunite light was that you were using? One other question, was that you singing Ain't no Sunshine? Thanks as usual for taking us along and the mini gear reviews. Shug-On!

    Shug,

    Two things -

I buy dehydrated vegetables by Harmony House from Amazon and make my own Ramen Vegetable mix. Usually add a Spam Lite single to bulk it up a little. Packs of hot sauce from take out places. Not at all sure it is any cheaper in the long run but easy to keep on hand.

All of a sudden I can't find peanut butter pop tarts. A note to Food Lion customer service simply says they have chosen not to carry them any more. Also not available at Harris Teeter. Have you or anyone else noticed this?

Enjoyable trip, as always. Keep on doin what you do.

That was a fun video to watch, once again. Thanks Mr Shug.

Awesome video, and loving the looks of that spot out there Reminds me of some of the places I hike out here in early Spring with all the flowers and tall grass. Very tranquil.

Envious. Thanks Snug. I don't recall the lemon wolf cafe is that in Beaver Bay? Looks like a sweet menu, ouch that was bad.

Yes it is. Been driving by it for a while. Strung Out mentioned it was good. It Is! Best Rueben in years and the pie is made right there.
