    New hammocks are in!

Our Claytor Jungle Hammocks just arrived. Of course I had to run right out and try it out. And of course the backyard just wasn't hacking it so I headed straight down to the river. It fit so nicely in my little day pack! In any event the results are posted in the Landscape section of the gallery. Is it sweet or what? I guess I'm officially a hammocker!

It came with everything except stakes. Actually these two hammocks are replacements straight from Thailand. The original two were from the states and both included stakes. I wondered if maybe there was some sort of mailing restriction or something. I don't really care as I have tons of them. He also sent and extra 20' of cord. Speaking of cord...it's florecent green...it may have to go! Very anti stealth.

As much time as I seem to be spending (not wasting mind you) on this site and Whiteblaze, I feel as if I already have at least one foot on the pulpit. FYI...I'm spending much more time here than there.

It doesn't take long for the hammocking bug to bite and bite hard he does.

You may want to keep the florecent green. I may come in handy finding your hammock. You don't want to be to stealthy, as in you can not find your own hammock if you wonder away from it.

I did that about three weeks ago. Wandered off a few hundred feet to string my food bag, and didn't see my hammock, or the food bag, again till morning. It was a warm night so I was okay, just mad. Spent a long and ant-filled night thinking about how light my pack could have been if I'd left all that stuff I wasn't using at home. A blinking Photon on a branch has just recently become standard equipment.
