New Hanger looking for IN Hangs

I'm new, so sorry if this is a newbie question, but:

When and where are some of the usual hang events in Indiana? I've heard of Hoosier Hangs, but I can't figure out from old posts when and where they are. Are their others? I'm in Southern Indiana near Seymour. Are there any events coming up near me?

I'd like to meet with people and see what hammocks they use. I've got a "beginner" Grand Truck but am interested in upgrading to a Warbonnet or Clark. I'd love to see one of these in person before buying one and I figure and Hang would be the place to do it.

Hello Inbaker, and welcome to HF. There is a Hoosier Hang which is held usually in the Spring, and the Halloween Hang in late October or early November. There was a winter hang this past winter. The hangs are predominately held in the Hoosier National Forest or the Charles C. Deam Wilderness. Not far from you. Cheers

Greetings from Seymour!!!!!!

As Mustang said, there are 3 big events a year, and several small through out the rest of the year. I like to get out for a quick overnighter sometimes in the Jackson/Washington area. Good place to test equipment...and if it fails, well close to the car and home..
Going out in the end of July, most likely at the DEAM..your more than welcome to tag along.

Welcome inbaker! We would be glad to meet you at the Indiana hangs. There is another one in late Spring up at Salamonie Reservoir. I'm sort of new to these hangs but these people are great. I have enjoyed them very much. BTW I'm from Hartford City!

I can either go on Friday till Saturday morning or Saturday later afternoon through Sunday. Grandson's birthday party on Saturday morning. Inbaker may want to come too.

Inbaker, do you want to hang with us on July 30. This is a good way to get started.
