Dear Hangers,
I made a set of synthetic quilts. For the TQ I used the pattern from DIY Gear Supply, the UQ was made following the exhaustive tutorial of Arowhead Equipment.
The TQ has paracord sheaths to tie a foot box and close the quilt on the upper end. The draw cord holes are centered and sewn as buttonholes. The UQ has loops at its corners that act like a secondary suspension.
The TQ is made from 3 oz/yd^2 Apex, the UQ from 4 oz/yd^2.
The shells are made from low priced 0.9 oz/yd^2 calandered rip stop nylon provided by extremtextil.de. It's only available in red, but I actually like the color. If I want to add some stealthiness I use a black underquiltprotector.
The TQ weighs 535 g (18.9 oz), the UQ weighs 600 g (22.1 oz).
This is the top quilt:

And here is the under quilt:

Really was fun to make them - except for cutting the fabric, which always is quite exhausting.
