Most everyone here probably already knows that Ed gives great customer service but I just wanted to remind everyone. I placed an order with him last Thursday. I wasn't expecting to get everything real quick because I knew there was the campout this weekend and he would be busy. well, I received my stuff yesterday. There was a small mistake with the order and Ed has already fixed it and I have received shipping confirmation on the correction. I just wanted to say I am really impressed.
I just placed my first order with him for material. Since this is my first time doing business with him, I can't speak just yet for his customer service. But what I can say about Ed is that he is a good businessman, an excellent resource for information and one of the genuinely nicest people I have ever met. I'm glad to know him.

Speer's customer service is top notch. I got my Snug Fit in like 2 days. Before I bought the quilt I emailed Ed a few times with various question and his relies were very prompt.

I got it bought it at the end of May, before the sale went off.

I like the production model much better than the one I tested at Hot Springs, mainly due to the nice green color.
I plan on doing a write up comparing the a JRB quilt and the Speer Snug Fit as soon as I get a chance to set things up where I can take pics. The 4x4 that I used in my backyard to hang my hammock pulled up out of the ground the other day so I gotta find some trees or make a stand.

I look forward to reading your comparison. I have a winter campout planned in Nebraska and I need to get some items. Off course I have never camped in real cold weather before so I am looking forward to it, I just want to be prepared.
Ed Speer is the vendor who sets the bar for other vendors in regard to product design, product quality, customer service and just plain being nice. The Jacks of Jacks R Better run a very, very close second.
No one puts more of himself into his product line and no one promotes the use of hammocks - all hammocks - like Ed Speer does. Both he and his wife Karen are a joy to know. You can't go wrong buying from Ed Speer.
Yep, ditto. I ordered 'thread from Ed' this morning, and it shipped already today. Coolness.
