Just wondering if anybody has taken their hammock to Colorado, specifically the 4 pass loop in the Maroon Bells Wilderness.

I hope so. I'll be hiking it in 2 weeks, and all I plan to bring is my hammock...

I just did a 4 night hang with my Dad, son, and brothers in the Sangre de Cristo mountains in CO a few weeks ago. We found a great place to hang. Only problem we had was finding live trees (at 11,500 ft there are only pines, mostly ponderosas) and there is a lot of sap even on the live ones. The pine beetles have killed so much of the high altitude ponderosas that in the San Isabelle wilderness where we were, about 85% of the forest is dead. The live trees are hurting too, hence all the sap. I just spent about 2 hours today cleaning sap off my 4 tree straps.
My step brother just did the 4 pass last week and hung each night. You should be okay
