1.0 HyperD Hammock and .9 Xenon Sil Tarp

Hadn't used a sewing machine since, middle school? So I had some struggles, but it wasn't a total disaster.

Made a hex tarp using .9 Xenon Sil from MYG, then made a WBBB type hammock out of 1.0 HyperD in burnt orange from RSBTR. The shelf is white 1.1 poly ripstop, the footbox and half the side channel is some nano noseeum, and the bugnet is .5 noseeum in gray.

Also made some tarp tubes out of the nano noseeum. Double sided stuff sack for the hammock out of the HyperD and regular stuff sack and stake stuff sack out of the Xenon Sil for the stakes and tarp respectively.

Tarp with stakes and the tubes and stuff sacks weighs in at 13.4 ounces.
Hammock with UCR suspension and straps and stuff sack weighs in at 15.9 ounces.

Forgot to say it is a partial length (6 feet) #3 zipper slightly off center towards the head side.

Looks awesome! I thought you said you hadn't sewn in a long time? Lol
I'd be curious to see the bags and such along with how you laid them out.

Working on a hammock with topcover for cold weather hammocking. Almost done, need to fix a few flaws do to errors in measuring. I really need to heed the proverb(?) of measure twice, cut (in my case, sew) once. The very last section I had to sew I got sloppy, rushed myself, and miscalculated. I had taken my time pinning and checking, pinning and checking, yet the section was so small I figured I'd be okay eyeballing it. Now I need to strip the seams and redo it. Not a huge deal but I should be looking at a finished hammock right now.

Pictures of it with the topcover pinned on, but not yet hemmed or sewn.

Body is 1.6 HyperD in charcoal gray.
Topcover is 1.1 ripstop nylon in olive yellow. (pictures don't do it justice)
Corner triangle pieces are .9oz noseeum, in gray.
#3 YKK zipper with double sided pulls on one side only, going up the triangle pieces halfway. Allows topcover to be folded over to one side, but obviously not removable.
    1.75mm zing-it ridgeline.
    Triple stitched end channels.

    It's around an 11' hammock.

Haven't got the weight yet, or made a stuff sack. Currently it has cinch buckles on it. That will probably stay the case for ease of use in winter.

I really like that gray and yellow: One of my favorite color combinations! Both hammocks look awesome!
"We are the greatest bulldozers to walk erect. Will we ever permit Mother Nature–truly our mother–to do her thing, undisturbed and unmarred? Will we ever be content to play a passively observant role in the universe, and leave off this unceasing activity? I do not wish man in control of the universe. I wish nature in control, and man playing only his just role as one of its inhabitants."

When making a cover ,net or fabric it can sometimes help to pin it to the ridgeline. If the net/fabric is pinned it can't shift sideways over the ridgeline.
