    jarbidge for short people

Since a jarbidge is a few inches longer than other 3/4 quilts do you think it would be close to being a full coverage quilt for someone 5'2"s? Looking at it as a cheap quilt for the wife and a warm weather quilt for me. She sleeps warm and I sleep much cooler.

It is probably the most popular UQ for kiddos out there. All 3 of mine use one. At 5'2" she might still need a small pad but depending on how curled up versus how stretched out it would probably work.

For me at around 5'7" the Jarbidge hits from shoulders to just above me ankles. I can use a pretty small foot pad with it.

I'm 5'9" and have use the 3 season Jarbridge for several years now (hundreds of nights). It's a quality UQ. I don't use a foot pad - just a pair of wool socks when below 40F. Covers me ankles to shoulders. I think someone 5'2" would do well with the Jarbridge. I see they are on sale now for $80 and a foot pad is included.
So I recommend the Jarbridge for your circumstances. I am not associatedwith AHE - just a happy customer.

The Jarbidge is a nice packed size; it's approximately 6" diameter x 13" long in its included stuff sack, and fully compressed it probably occupies about half that volume.

And you can look at the Jarbidge Set Up and the Care and Cleaning Video on the How To Videos Page to see what it looks like packed.

I'm 5'1 and love my Jarbidge!
I'm a relatively new hanger... got it during last year's anniversary sale as one of my first pieces of 'real' gear. Have about a dozen cozy, comfortable nights with it so far... Absolutely no complaints.
Tempted to jump in this year to get a pretty blue one to match my 11' Dutch... but how many quilts does a girl really need? My ground-dwelling friends give me enough grief for owning 7 hammocks and 4 different types of suspension. It really is an addiction...
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.

Just 1 more. And get the sale while you can. That blue one is calling you.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Of course to get the Blue one to match it really needs to be hung on an AHE hammock made from the same made in America fabric....it might be close but not really the same thing.

The Terminator is 5ft 3 and for her a Jarbidge is close to a FL UQ for her. These are some great UQs, I have and use a 1S 3S and 4S.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
