There is a very slight chance that I can squeeze this one in. I'm supposed to be in the middle of a move to SC that weekend...but that just might be delayed by a few days. It remains to be seen. If I'm there, I'm there. If not, I'm supervising the loading of my belongings into trucks. Coin flip right now. I'm moving to Rock Hill, SC just under Charlotte...so this move opens up a whole new set of possibilities for hanging. Even better, the house is on a chunk of land with a whole bunch of prime hanging trees!

Is there a group meal planned for Yates? Do we have a theme? Trying to get items together.

I am not sure. I believe not unless it's been stated. I will be there Friday night with 10 scouts and 3 other leaders, but we are all packing up in the morning and hiking uwharrie-dutch 18 mile loop. Not sure we will be back until Sunday.

It's our first backpacking trip.

I will have some food to share in Potluck Friday and Saturday. Low country boil one day and BBQ ribs one day. It will not be enough to feed everyone if you don't bring anything. I think there will be excess food if campers bring something for Potluck. I am sorry to be so disorganized--Yates has always been a very laid back hang--anyone is free to step up and do any theme meals and no one will fault you for your hard work! Sometimes it's fun to have a surprise Potluck!

The fickle finger of fate has struck...no delay in the move to SC, so the movers will be here Fri & Sat to pack me out. No Yates Place for me this fall. ****!

Yes bring your own meals--I imagine there will be some sharing and swapping--I don't think anyone has ever lost weight or gone hungry at Yates. I'm thinking Scouts will be hungry before and after their trek--maybe that way food won't be wasted.
