Well, I must admit, I did the same thing. My first project in years, I was recovering from a brain injury, trying to be very careful, looked away for a couple of seconds, burnt a small hole with my soldering iron. Made myself sick. The spot was small enough I was able to work around it.
Could you make your bridge shorter? It was suggested to me by Hiking Dad that I needed my height plus 6 inches to make my DIY bridge work.
