3rd dyi hammock with a new wip idea

Standard hh fold but I did it a little tighter with 5 folds per side and the last reverse fold. I did sew the first 10 inches of each end with a 1.5 " overlap and then zip tie for temp hold. I used a larkshead on the 1" webbing and folded the end of the hammock over and wipped it. I also used a larkshead for the ridgeline with some tinkering and got another good hammock.
Anyone see anything wrong with this foldover method? The reason I did it was the material was too thick to punch and grommet like I have done before. Here are a couple of picks. Bill

When you say standard Hennessy fold, I assume that is a roll whip. I cant seem to find any good instructions on this method. Anybody know?

Somewhere on this bbs are the instructions as to how I have made my hammocks. Start with the bed side up and fold in half and overlap by an inch or so. I sew it for about 9 inches or so on each end. Then flip it over and fold the sides toward the center 4 or 5 times. Then for the last fold take the two folded sides and fold under ( opposite of all the other folds) then whipp it. You can use it like this or add tie outs to each side at the points where your shoulder and foot hit. This makes a real comfortable hammock. Good luck, Bill

Looks good. My only issue would be that force is applied to the whipping. You are depending on the whipping not slipping to keep you up. With the larkshead most of the force is applied to the hammock body.
