    Well i finally got one. An older Brother made out of steel, everything works and the best part is i got it for free with a small donation to the local childrens quilt fund. The woman at the quilt room gave me about 15 minuted worth of lessons of all the this and that . I got home and made a net gear pouch for the RL of my BB. Two days later i ripped out the old zipper in my thinsulite vest and sewed in the new one. This ain't so hard, just don't ask me to make a suit.

    I pulled out my wife's machine that she has owned since before I met her. She has probably used it only half a dozen times since I have known her (30 years). She says it was pretty high quality when she bought it new in the mid 70's.

    There is no longer a user's manual for it. I have done several searches and emailed a couple websites that specialize in copied manuals. The machine is a portable but is pretty heavy, all steel construction. It appears to be working properly and is very clean. The only ID besides ALCO, is a tag below deck with the motor info. It says 2200-(5 numbers stamped) the 2200 is printed as though a model number. It also says "Made in Japan".

    Try this link:
    Necchi-Alco Sewing Machine Manuals

    I've done some quick checks online and can't find a manual for a 2200, but the manual for the 2300 can be found on the link. I'm not sure if it's close to the same machine, but the numbers are close. Try looking on some sites for Necchi-Alco 2200 or just Necchi 2200.

    Good luck!

    My Thread injector is a Janome Threadbanger TB12. Ive only had it about a month but have run through two 600 yard spools of thread. So far it has done great.

    I have been on that site and emailed them. Linda replied quickly and said;
    Any machine named with Precision Deluxe and a great many other names, such as yours, ALCO was a made in the orient or another foreign country, sewing machine. So it arrived in the USA without a name on it and who ever sold it, put whatever name that they wanted to, on it. That is why I can tell you which manual is the right one for your machine unless, just by pure chance, we have one with that identical name on it in our collection.
    She goes on to say that there may be several identical machines with different names.

    I also found a hobby sewing center in Minnesota that has a rental unit called an Alco 2200. The photo is poor but it looks like the same machine. I have emailed them to see if they have a manual they could copy
