You guys have some amazing machines.

This is my 1970's Universal (I think they were made by White). My mother bought it brand new and still has the original bill of sale. It was $180 and she had to finance it. Pretty cool story behind this old girl. Mom just recently gave it to me and I got it cleaned up and ready to go. Runs perfect and has all metal parts. Can't wait for my nylon/supplies to come in so I can try my hand at a gathered in hammock. Until then I'll keep practicing.

Nice machine. Check the manual on the correct way to thread it....I think it is wrong in the photo.

    And welcome to HF!

Mine is older... It was passed down when my mom got a new fancy one... A singer model "3314 C"... She has done me good so far, has an electronic foot pedal and not many frills and doodads but she works...

Well Christmas came early for me. My Wife found a Singer Style-O-Matic 328K with all the accessories to include the cabinet ( knee switch ) . When I got her home this afternoon I put her upstairs in my Office and proceeded to give her the once over clean and oil followed by a few test threads. She came with everything you see in the pic.

Better pics to follow when I get the battery charged back up in my camera.
