I am really trying to get to a group hang, but I work most weekends, so it is hard to get to one. So far the winter one is the only one I can make. Any chance of a weeknight hang?
I think Out&Back has it. I was always comfortable in my Blackbird, but can see how a too tight UQ would make it less comfortable. Have been using the same homemade UQ for about 9 years, on all of my hammocks, I do sometimes have to adjust how the UQ is hung as I change quilts, as my WBBB is now my sons, & I have not used it for about 4 years, I can't remember if I changed anything or not, but it is likely. I'm on hammock # 8 or 10 so. . . . . .
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.
Too tight end baffles are sometimes a culprit.

You'll get it to work, just keep at it. A friend, experienced or not, is your best bet. Just make sure they know what they're looking for.
You're MUCH too kind
Where and when, might be able to make something happen if it's relatively close for all involved.
Any interest in a Door County hang? Or maybe High Cliff State Park? I could go Aug. 24th. Otherwise it will have to wait until after my trip in Sept. I plan on going out tomorrow to test out the ideas here. My usual spot was taken the past few days. I really need to get a spot in my backyard.
LOTS of interest in a Door County hang........but that's a 3.5 hour ride for me
High Cliff SP is 2 hours.....makes getting to work the next day fairly difficult
I have the same problem if I go farther south. Maybe I should try to get a Door County hang planned for a weekend in fall. Could we do 2 weekends in one month? I was thinking late Sept. or early Oct. Newport or Peninsula.
High Cliff could work this weekend??? I'll be at the in laws, not far from there all weekend. I'm sure I could get away for a few hours to offer my free assistance, and I guaranty you'll get your monies worth
Yes, you should get a Door County hang planned........PLEASE!!
Can do as many weekends in a month as you/we want. One a month just increases attendance....hopefully.
Last weekend in Sept is the New Glarus hang, Oct 21-23 is the Packers/bears hang. Not that it should enter into your planning, but the second or third weekend a couple of us will be in MN. I can let you know the weekend for sure by the end of the week, if you'd like.
