    Ok, here's what I've got:

    ENO SingleNest
    Total Width 55"
    "Extension" Width 8" x 2
    Main Body Width 39"

    ENO DoubleNest
    Total Width 80"
    "Extension" Width 8.5" x 2
    Main Body Width 63"

The total width measurements that I got match up on both hammocks with the measurements on ENO's website. So there ya have it, boys and girls.

Weird. I thought the DoubleNest would be wider.

With those dimensions try starting with a 60" wide piece of fabric and add some 12" pieces to each side. You will probably loose about 3" on each side due to hems and the flat felled seam for attaching the side panels. That is going to put you pretty close to a ENO DoubleNest size in width.

    Great.Now I wanna make a wider hammock.

Well, the main body section of the DoubleNest is a full 24" wider than the SingleNest. Add that to the extra 1/2" of "extension" on each side and that gives quite a bit more room. I can tell a BIG difference laying in a DoubleNest, it's much more comfortable than a SingleNest. If you want to make a wider hammock, HC, I'm ordering some ripstop to do a whipped Speer-style. Want to go in with me on it?

If it helps, last time I was down your way the walmart off of I-64 at exit 94-ish (same exit as KFC and Golden C.) had some ripstop.

Thanks, HE, I appreciate it. I'm actually looking at a specific color for a hammock body and I can't fing it ANYWHERE here. I did, however, find it online and will be getting some from that source.

    Pink?

Would it happen to be the same material the eno's are made of?

I'll have to pass. I got more fabric than you can shake a stick at. I am also ordering my Momentum90 for my quilt this week and it's not gonna be cheap.

No pink, thank you. And no, it's absolutely NOT the same material of which the ENO's are made. I located a source for some olive ripstop and will be making a hammock body from that. I did mention to a co-worker that I wanted to learn how to make them and she said something about wanting a purple/lavendar hammock once I start making them. I may try and score a couple brownie points with her and make her one after I get the hang of it. Maybe back to that one handed bra release technique again.

Yeah OD is pretty hard to find...

Hey! Maybe we can talk BD into trumping up some kind of charge against Jeff so we can impound all the OD stuff he's hoarding from his cross-country Walmart odyssey!
