    Swamp Air Conditioning

Curious if anyone has tried this.. I was out last night with ON temp around 80-85.. it was actually quite comfortable. Heavy rain in the middle of the night cooled things off and I had a great BY hang. The cool rain got me thinking of a clip a watched that shows wet rags hung on the RL to create a cooling effect when breeze blows... dubbed Swamp Air Conditioning. Watch at 25:30

Curious if anyone has feedback on this technique..

I dunno. With my bug net, very little air blows through the netting. I guess a puff of slightly cooler air is better than none.

Could possibly create minimal cooling but likely only in dry climates as evaporation is key to it working.

Here in the Midwest it's like a jungle in the summer, especially this one. The air is so saturated with moisture, there's not much room for additional evaporation.
