Best config I've used yet.

I spliced 24" of 1.75 zing-it on a toakes ti stake to the Zpacks hardware and its pretty sweet.

No I have not. I've only had my tarp out 3 nights since I put them on. It wasn't very windy. I can't imagine these clips ever coming apart in the wind though...

+1 Versitile and very small lightweight. Can do multiple buckle configurations as long as you think about the Male / Female combinations. I purchased them but don't yet own the HG Winter Palace Tarp. Talk about Cart before the Horse...lol. I also can't imagine them unbuckling; especially when place on shock cord that will give in the wind.

Calculations show a 23 mph wind can exert over 20lbs of force on 7 sq ft - but that would be if straight on and no gap. Shock cord would definitely help there too. I think I may give these a try.

HA! I knew those must be Dutch. Didn't ZPacks use Dutch Quilt Hooks for a couple months on their doors?

I too bought these safety clips - however either my fingers are too fat or these clips just don't open very easily - matter of fact I can't even open some of them without a lot of effort. I love the idea and concept I just don't think they are gonna work for me. I'm going to try the Z-packs clip made by you know who. Dutch any chance you are going to offer these on your site(s).

I find the shock cord and clips method to very lightweight and elegant. No stakes required!

If you pull the doors back on the inside and not the out, the tarp unrolls without much tangling of lines when setting up. They also roll up nicer if using snakeskins.
