New guy here....I just signed up.

My plan is to hike in on the Batona....probably from Pakim Pond....on Saturday afternoon as I have a commitment Saturday morning then hike back on Sunday. I may actually drop my truck off at the campsite Saturday morning before hiking in....just in case I decide I don't want to hike back and I could slackpack that way.

This will probably be my second time sleeping in my hammock so I will be taking all advice possible.

If I am hiking in I won't be able to bring group food for dinner/breakfast. Is it possible to just kick in some cash?

Short answer, sure.
Don't sweat the small stuff.

If time becomes an issue for you, just mention it to one of the local folks and I'm sure you'd find someone happy to give you a ride back to the vehicle if that would be helpful.
