First zipped DIY hexon hammock 15oz

Well decided to have a go at full zipped bug netting.
I am really chuffed with the result.
    Hexon 1.0
    Nano no seeum
No.3 ykk zip x4 dual side zippers
Peak bags in organza 3.4g one used to store bug net in.

So all in whoopies, fixed ridge line, peak bags, hammock and bug net total
    422g or 15oz

Now thinking about some kind of removable wind shield maybe in argon 90. Need to add bishop bag

    Very, very slick. Beautiful work.

Did you cut your netting in a symmetrical irregular hexagon (reflected both longitudinally and laterally) and then run coil zipper all the way around the edge?

I sew the zip to the hammock, hung the hammock and used the guy outs, then draped the bug net over and pinned until a good fit to the side of the zip not sewn.

Then took it down, split the zip to remove it with the netting, then just sewed around once outside edge. Then trimmed rolled and sew near zipper teeth so all edges enclosed.

Looks great! I've got to make me one of these with Dutch's fancy new zippers. What are the peak bags made of? Argon 67?

Nope organza fabric from the local fabric shop, its a pain to work with but tough and lighter than any other fabrics or even cuben they are 3.4g, 0.12oz with 1mm dyneema cords and a mini toggle.

Ohh, okay. I have a small tie shut bag that I think is made out of that fabric. It came with a makeup kit that my wife bought, but the bag is the perfect size for my fronkey bugnet. Is it almost like a stiff mesh? That's a good idea to use it for peak bags for sure.
