Hello,
I'll be heading to Nashville, IN in a few weeks for a disc golf tournament. Does anyone know of a good campground to string up my hammock. I figured i would ask the community first to help narrow my search.

The Deem Wilderness isn't too far from there I think...? And Brown County St park is literally right there, but it is a state park camp ground (i.e. You get what you get, may have to bring a stand).
If you do the Deem Wilderness, be prepared to have your car covered in dust. It's about a 3 1/2 mile drive to the first area after you enter off route 446 South of Bloomington. You can hang your hammock just about anywhere along a trail and there are sites along the trail too. It's a very nice place. Remember to take some water.
Hey Harlen, I'm not far from you near Hartford City. I have be looking for someone over here to hike and/or camp with. Maybe we can get together.

Nebo Ridge trail is just outside of Brown County State Park and is a nice trail with several "established" campsites. Does require a 2-3 mile hike in, but the trail is in great shape and parking is very easy. Probably a 20-30 min. total drive from Nashville.
Take Hwy 46 East out of Nashville
Turn Right (South) on Hwy 135, follow to the T at Bellsville Pike
Turn Right (West) continuing on Hwy 135 towards Story, IN (neat little village)
When you get to Story, stay straight which turns into Elkinsville Rd.
Elkinsville Rd. is gravel and will curve around for about 3 miles, the Nebo Ridge Trail head parking area is on your left.
Good luck with the disc golf tourney and give Nebo a shot if you have time.
LOL! At first you think it's just superficial...time for a quick car wash. But every time it's wet with puddles, I have to spend about 20 minutes spraying out the underside. It's like a sticky paste that never comes clean. Then my driveway looks like a beach with all the sand!
Thanks for all the replies. I am going to check out the state park. I'll be heading out after work and I'll want to take a shower so my odor isn't too offensive.
@slider1- I heard good things about the deem wilderness at the Spring Hoosier Hang.
Did I meet you at the bike shop Harlen? No, that was a another guy who was just getting into hammock camping.

How was the tourney?
Deer Run DGC is pretty good and the TD seemed to know what he was doing. The trophies were growlers from the local brewer who also sponsored the tournament. I am not good enough to place that high, but maybe next year i can contend for one. I had a blast despite the rain that filled most of the day.
