I used 1oz HyperD for my underquilts. I just used the HyperD material for both. They came out well. I've only had them out a few times, but I don't believe durability will be an issue. It's not weight bearing and shouldn't have much friction in use.

I followed this same excellent tutorial and used MEMBRANE 0.67 for the liner and have had no issues after one year of use. I did add grosgrain loops at the corners to take some stress off of the channels. I'd probably go with HyperD 1.0 next time for value.
Note that the channels are sewn into the liner, not the shell, in that tutorial.

I use the same fabric that the quilt is made from (or some other scrap that's really close to it) to make the channels, and add grosgrain loops at the ends for cord tie points, and at the side tie-out points.
