How do I deal with stress? Hammock time.

How do I deal with a stressful night at work? Come home, change, grab my hammocl, a water bottle, and energy bar and throw them in my pack. Lace up my boots, pick up my hiking poles and drive to my favorite local trail head.
I only hiked about 3 miles out and back, but took a different turn on my usual trail and was rewarded with a stupendous view, and a nice shady spot for a hammock break.
It's funny how an hour and a half in the woods can wash away twelve hours of stress.20160909_083337.jpg 20160909_083556.jpg20160909_083545.jpg 20160909_083600.jpg20160909_083600.jpg20160909_085443.jpg

makes sense to me! As a parent right now of two small children and both of us full time working parents, finding time to decompress has been very difficult for me. Looks like a nice spot you had there to chill!

Someday I will have the flexibility to do that but by that time many of the triggers of stress will be gone. For now too many responsibilities after work. Good on you for being able to get out.

Just make sure you secure the hammock well....wouldn't want the mosquitoes to carry you off.
