Well, this thread put me over the edge. Just ordered a Cayenne Pepper..... 89" x 50". Looking forward to true full coverage on my DH..... hoping that 89" isn't too long for my hammock, lol.

Got home today same time as wifey, and there was a box on the doorstep. Alas, it was merely her new running shoes. Then I got inside and the dog walker had brought a bigger box inside! Look at these beautiful beasts.

Put the topquilt in a compression sack, got it to volleyball size. I think I shall name them Sputnik 1 and Sputnik 2.

For my first ever underquilt, I had been leaning heavily toward getting this UQ. I emailed George the other night about the packability of the Cayenne Pepper - how small it could get. He sent me the above photo of the compressed quilt and directed me to this thread. Now that I've read everyone's input, that's it! I am definitely getting this one. I'm excited!

Dweckster, what size compression sack is that you have there? How many liters?

    Thanks for the info, y'all.

The one in the picture is a 20L Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil Compression Dry Sack. I think I got it on steepandcheap, for cheap. I could actually get both the TQ and UQ in one 20L sack, it's pretty big--actually too big for one quilt. I can put both quilts in the bag again and take pics tonight or tomorrow if that would help.
