Photos of hammock friendly hanging spots

Do you have any photos of hammock friendly hanging spots you care to share? Specifically looking for photos of parks, rec areas, etc, where hanging spots were created with timbers or metal poles. More interested in places constructed to allow camping and use of tarps rather than lounging areas like some college campuses are installing.

Apparently such a place doesn't exist. So let me ask a different question. If you were going to construct a place for you and a few friends to hang while camping, how would you design the area? The end purpose is to have a centralized camping area for hammocks and not having everyone scattered over several acres in search of good trees to hang from.

We have a new park in town that has a grove of trees, it has attracted hammockers. It is friendly in the way they haven't started running hammockers off. I don't have any pictures, yet.

The Ultimate Hang has a page dedicated to this:

Personally, I'd prefer to have my own two trees and don't mind being somewhat isolated. I'm usually sleeping in my hammock and don't pitch it near campfires/cooking areas which tend to be the gathering places in my experience. OTOH, we are blessed with many trees in NC, so I might feel differently if I lived somewhere less forested.

There was a member who posted in the introductions forums a while back. His neighborhood actually had a hammocking area, where they spaced a bunch of wooden poles appropriately to allow for the residents to have a place to hang. He was from either Iowa or Idaho... I thought it was a novel idea.

Edit: it was Utah. At least I remembered it began with a vowel. Here's the op: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ello-From-Utah

In downtown Vienna, Austria they have "hammocks" permanently attached to trees (the bodies are a grid of coated cables, not exactly Hexon or ripstop). Rather than bolting them to the trees however they have wooden spacers between the tree and cables which are wrapped around them and used to support the hammock.

Perhaps in areas there are trees, parks and campgrounds could have trees dedicated to hanging. They could secure some type of fixture to which hammock could be attached. This would maintain a more natural look than adding posts or poles while protecting the trees. Keep in mind this could be done without drilling into the tree by simply putting up spacers and wrapping in cable with turnbuckles or similar.

    Just a thought.
