Does the zipper work fairly freely or do you sometimes need to use both hands to hold the fabric?

    That's nice Grizz. Mule
Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.

thanks Tim. The zipper is usually a one-handed affair. I remember once needing both hands because I think the zipper caught on something.

    Bridge layout

That was some very interesting reading, I think I'm ready to try my 1st DIY bridge. I haven't ran a sewing machine since making that 7th grade pillow, so I'm a bit intimidated by the endcaps & bugnet attachment. I'm pretty confident I can cut & roll the parabolic line correctly and I'm wondering what can be planned into the main hammock body to ease the attachment of endcaps & bugnet. I like the built in endcaps that turkeyboy described and I'm trying to simplify it further. I'm wondering if a triangle piece can be left on each end of the main body with a small grommet in the apex to pass a ridgeline through. How do i figure the triangle dimensions before cutting? If I can get this to go straight up from the rings/spreader bar, I think the bug net could just be a rectangular tube with a zipper.

I'm having trouble linking my uploaded pic to this post. The only picture in my gallery tries to illustrate this. Do my figures look like they'll produce a comfy lay? How do I determine the red triangle's dimensions?
