Hey Hammockers. I am going to be spending one night Friday outside of Lansing to visit a friend there on Saturday. Any recommendations for a site to stay at in the area?

Depends on what side of Lansing you are on. There is Sleepy Hollow State Park in the St. John's area to the north. There is also the Brighton Recreation Area to the East towards Detroit.
Other than that the only public one in lansing is cottonwood. They have some rustic sites, have not stayed.

I ended up at sleepy hollow. Arrived late but it was packed by rvs for their Halloween weekend. No sites left with trees but had a great night with my ground setup which luckily came with me. Thanks for the advice it is a nice spot.
