ViDEO: Superior Hiking Trail Fungi Frolic

Finally out for a ramble up in Northern Minnesota on the Superior Hiking Trail around the Cascade River.
Mushrooms/Fungi were in full glory up there. The woods smelled amazing with all the rain and wind. Winds were high the whole time. Temps were down to 47ºF and hung around 57ºF. It was chilly::::
Did not do real big miles (still a bit tired from my busy Summer) but wanted to just go to the woods for some hammock slumber and vivid dreams.
Went way up and hiked around the Cascade River. Fall is getting a foot in up there for sure.

Thanks for the video! I always enjoy them! I think I watch backpacking trip videos on youtube more than tv. I was just up there 2 weeks ago. It is so beautiful (and muddy)!

Wow, I couldn't believe the color in those leaves already. Beautiful area and it's so nice to see another Shug video. I really enjoy your videos and can't wait for the next one. Thanks for sharing and good for you getting out in the woods. I'm finally heading that way myself. We FINALLY broke out of the 90's 2 days ago to a high of 75 here today. I've got to take advantage of this as it's supposed to head right back to the upper 80's next week. Again thanks for sharing. Oh yea. I about busted a gut when you said ".. wrangle the tards". I'm still laughing.

Great pics!! Mushroom walks into a bar. Says, "Bartender, I will have a whiskey." Bartender says, "We don't serve your kind here." Mushroom says, "Why not, I am a fun guy!" Anyway, we just spent a week on Madeline Island in Lake Superior and hiked a "deep woods" trail that was filled with these all sizes, shapes and colors. Headed north next weekend, hope to see more. Thanks for sharing.
