    こんにちは日本から! Hello from Japan!

    Greetings all,

I am am originally from Texas raised in Alabama and have lived in Japan since 1983 with the exception of a 5 year tour in Hawaii. I love the outdoors and Japan has some beautiful places to explore. I normally do what they call in Japan "auto camping", because I also enjoy offroading. I normally camp with a tent, but old age has crept up on me and now I use a tent with a cot. While it is much better than the ground, I am fascinated by the versatility of a hammock especially its small size when not deployed. My Warbonnet Superfly was shipped today, and I am hoping to enjoy it with my cot and maybe eventually get a hammock for when trees are available.

Thanks for accepting me in even though I am not a hanger yet....! I am very interested in the Warbonnet Blackbird XLC and learning more about the mystical people who sleep in trees!.

    よろしくおねがします!
    Best Regards,
    Brad Shows

Welcome from the Jersey Shore. I was also born in Texas and raised in Alabama. Enjoy getting familiar with hammocks!

Jump on in man. It's a lot of fun and the sleep is fantastic. Do you have any pics you could post of the areas you camp in Japan?

    Shug-san,
Thank you! I am a big youtube fan of yours by the way! Your videos are entertaining, awesome and informative all at the same time!!

I remember the YES-89' [Yokohama Exotic Showcase]. My wife an I went; I recall. I will have to see if I can dig up some of our old photos from there. The place it was held at is now known as "Minato Mirai". The ferris wheel is still there and it now is home to the once largest now the second largest building in Japan "Landmark Tower". Minato Mirai area has some nice but a bit high priced shopping. They also have several camping goods stores where I wander off to while my wife is looking at clothes. We actually live about 10 minutes drive from there.

Anyway, good to be here and meet you.

    Best Regards,
    Brad

Welcome from central Wisconsin. Great to hear from you. Lots of really neat people sharing experiences involving hammock life. After a while you will see trees differently... Yeah, I could hang here.

どもありがとう! Not a full fledged hanger yet, but some day..... I was checking out your link you posted (http://thetrailsmag.com/archives/7921) last night as a matter of fact. I was wondering about the possibilities if hammocks were even allowed here because I have not seen them in use. Thanks again!
