    2QZQ #2 and Snakeskins

I have a Hyperlite with the #2 Snakeskins, and it doesn't like to go into the stuff sack without some coercion. If I get the #2 Zipper Modification, will it then be impossible to get it into the Snakeskins and stuff sack?

Haven't used skins since getting the #2 mod but haven't had any problem getting it in the Hennessy stuff sack. You can also go to a larger size Snakeskin if the #2 skins are too tight.

I've actually got plenty of room inside the skins for the hammock, standard fly, and undercover. The problem is that it becomes so rigid inside of the skins that it is difficult to get everything in the stuff sack. I can only imagine the zipper will add more rigidity to the setup, making it increasingly difficult to pack.

If you don't have any difficulty getting the hammock with the zipper into the sack, I doubt it will cause too much of an issue. Any particular reason you did away with the skins?

I'd say that it is true the zipper mod adds a bit more rigidity, but not enough that one cannot fold the snakeskinned hammock into the stuff bag. Takes a bit more practice to get good at it. I personally don't use the stuff bag any more. Some use a "Bishop bag", which doesn't require snakeskins. A "double ended" Bishop bag would work nicely keeping the suspension lines separate from hammock body.

I've been using the Bishop Bag approach.
