nice. let us know who it works. I may try to sleep outside tonight if i can find enough time.....shoulder is killing me again in bed.

Will do. I'll post some pics of it here shortly as well. I think I'll be OK condensation wise. With the Snugpak TQ being at it's lower limit for me, I wore my down vest last night to help keep my core warmer. Im thinking most of my senseable & non sensible perspiration will end up in it, and the rest will be evaporated in the UQ by the wind that penetrates the thin spots of the UQP. That's my theory anyway. Its gonna be 33° and windy here tonight, perfect conditions for a hang right?

I can't wait until my HG 0° burrow gets here though! The Snugpak TQ is nice and all, but below the current temps for me Im gonna need down. The down vest has helped, but its old and not vary fluffy anymore. Idk if a down cleaner would even help. I'm 35 next month, and my highschool girlfriend got it for me for Xmas when we were 17,I've kept it that long. The shell is in great shape still , but the down is pretty flat now from age. Is there any way I can restore the loft possibly? My budget for gear is being spent on the TQ, so anyway I can restore old gear now is a big plus! Lol. Pics to follow shortly of UQP and vest.....

Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.

Here's the pics of it. In this IMG_20161025_110249_hdr.jpgpic looking between the Winter nest and UQP, you can see all the spots where light is coming through the thin areas with no coating. And if condensation starts to build faster than it can be evaporated by wind through those spots, I can always untie the hood and let it hang down open and vent the ends more. Butnas you can see, even with the ends sinched up there is still plenty of room for air to circulate between the UQ and UQP while still providing good coverage up the sides as well.

I bought some FroggTogg ponchos. The fabric is way to delicate and peels easy. I personally wouldn't go that route. I use 1.9 RS that's calendered and never had moisture issues. I even made a sock out of the 1.9 and again no moisture.
The 1.9 may be alittle heavier, but i need something tough as I can be hard on my gear at times.
