Should have seen my original prototype...the one on the far left was made out of 1/4" 6061 and was really beefy. Ended with the one on the right after several tweakings on size and thickness. We were shooting for 1000# weight test...got actually more than that out of them.
I like the one on the left the most...
I like that van, too. But I have too much old stuff. I have a 1929 Savage 99, a 1948 lapstrake Lyman skiff, a 1959 house, a 1962 Singer, a 1973 airhead, a 1982 Scamp. I don't even know how old my Consew sewing machine is. I need to sell some old stuff and put my money into Dutch clips!
