Donating Members - Come join in so we have more input in the other forums.

I want to encourage all users to join up and become a Donating Member so we have even more input in the "off topic" forums. It's less expensive than a Big Mac meal and a whole lot better for you.

How much is a Big Mac where you're from?

But you're right, it's not much at all, for what you get.

Yea, a Big Mac meal is only around $7 with tax (had to look it up) Ok, it's just a good deal.

I quit eating Big Macs just to donate here, consequently I now fill my belly with food found in the recipe section in the donating members section.

DIY section has already covered the 10 bucks donated, many times over.

Well you should certainly live longer and be happier since you stopped eating that fast-food cr@p:<) whereas I'm not a big fan of the tos, this forum is a great wealth of information, experience, opinion and wisdom from hundreds of people. That's worth ten bucks a year to me.
By all means, let's argue about whether or not a hammock will hurt a tree. All the while ignoring the fact that there is an island of garbage the size of Texas floating in the Pacific ocean. Or how about the fact that over 75% of the world's nuclear reactors are leaking...

Donating is definitely worth the little cost, especially compared to a lot of the gear we buy, I find it funny that people will spend $200 on a hammock or tarp but will skip out on the near limitless font of knowledge available for a small percentage of that.

I never understood Big Macs. The bun in the middle is absolutely useless.

Well worth the $10!! I forget, what do non-donators see? Is that whole are just not there, or do they get some message about having to donate when the click one of those subforums?

Nevermind I found out. There's nothing!! I think we need to market it better...probably by showing those areas to everyone and having it say "please donate to view..." or something to that affect. So they know what they're missing.

I agree as most users do not know what is included without paying.
