101 Uses for a Stock HH Tarp

I recently "got off the ground" with a HHED from Mrprez, and decided to add a Winter Dream v.2 tarp from Scott at BWD (can't wait till it comes to try it out!). My intent is to use the larger tarp year round (added shade and privacy ) which leaves me with the stock tarp. I am considering a number of options:

    1. keep it
    2. sell it
    3. make something from the material

I had thought of making a number of stuff sacks or possibly an underquilt with it, but wanted suggestions from the group on other options.

    Any ideas/advice?

If you're toying with the idea of winter camping, you could consider making a topcover for the hammock. They do quite a nice job of trapping a bit of extra warmth.
    Trust nobody!

Sometimes I want to have a second tarp for my kitchen area when the weather turns foul. granted that the stock tarp is small, but I wouldn't want to carry something big for a maybe like that anyway. If you have a front porch on your hammock setup, which doubles as your kitchen, then you have this covered already, pun intended.

I think way back when Just Jeff had instruction on his site of how to make the HH tarp into a undercover/weathershield for the UQ. I cant seem to find the link I copied so maybe he will chime in.

    Merry Christmas

I would keep it myself, but if you decide to sell it send me a message.

Thanks for the ideas. I shouyld have mentioned that I own a SS. Otherwise I would definitely go for the UC modification. I wonder if I could add a couple of whoopie slings and use it as a gear hammock?

Take a look at the padded chair/pack cover/gear hammock that is being made by Bonsaihiker..

I'd keep it, use for quick good weather trips. I'm thinking that it would add value if you were ever to sell the whole set-up, original tarps fit better, just small. You can always pick up some cheap fabric and make the other gear your thinking of. my 2 cents

Since you have a SS, I'd keep the stock tarp, that is a system.
