Called to see about availability, and they're closed for election day. Ringtail - I'm curious how you managed to reserve? Looks like you have to go up to Jeffco and visit in person to book?

Anyhow, Skeet - I'd like to bring my bike and come up there also - probably leave the car down in Golden or something. Do I need to do anything or just show up and hang? Thanks for posting this!

Hey Rob, glad you can join us! Between the two sites I reserved 17 and 18 and site 12 Ringtail reserved, there should be plenty of spots to hang. Yep, just show up and hang! That would be a lengthy ride from Golden. I will leave you an overnight permit with your name on it if you want to just park at the trailhead.

Hi all, for those who are still planning on coming, I'm out of overnight permits. I have permits saved for Krowhop, Rob, and Patrick. Your names are on them. Anyone else planning on coming will need to go to the Jeffco Open Space to pick up a permit. Just tell them you are with Chapman Sites 17 and 18. Also, I've left a message with them asking if the Stage 2 fire ban is still in effect. I'll let you all know once I hear back if we will be able to have a campfire Saturday night or not. Looking forward to hanging out with y'all!

Hi again, yep, still under Stage 2 fire ban. No campfires permitted at all but you can use your stove. Kind of a bummer but we can hunker down around the Luci Lanterns, haha.

Also, as a reminder, you will need to carry water in as there is no water source at the campground.
