Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.
Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
I use it straight from the tube, remember to get a flux brush. Also there are quite a variety of permatex products, make sure you get the right product. This is it, product 81730:

You 'Da Man, Large Bama! I can't imagine this not working for you. It has worked so perfectly for me. The only problem might be where and with whatever you have already sealed. I'm wondering if this could cause any problems with applying the Permatex? I wonder if maybe you need to seal on the opposite side of the one you have already done?
I applied mine by rubbing in small amounts with my finger. It has SO FAR been bombproof for over a year. Read back on the thread I referenced earlier, lot's of info there. Test with a hose! Leave out in an all night rain over an empty hammock! We must have you bone dry for the next trip!

I like what eay has done, and when I'm able to make bags like hers, I'll be a Molly Bagger.

FWIW, Outdoor Research makes drybags like that, with webbing loops on the side. They work perfectly with a MMP.
