So I just bought my Permatex today, I should be receiving my BWDD V2 on Wednesday or Thursday, and I was looking for some tips on the best and neatest way to seam seal it. What is the best way to get the best seal. Im gonna use my finger. Would it be ok if I just layed it out on the floor or do I need to tie it up some where? And what would be the best way to tie up a tarp of that size inside?
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

I'd reccomend a little plumber's flux brush. You can usually find them in the plumbing department at a home center. You'll need one for each coat unless you want to soak the first one in methanol or laquer thinner.

how many coats would you suggest, I was only going to do one. Along the ridge line seam and the 4 pull outs. Underside of tarp only.

One coat is all I used, carefully worked in with my finger, and for well over a year no problems, even after all night deluges. But who knows, any time now a new coat might be required.

if I can't tie my tarp up outside, for whatever reason... I'll lay the tarp on the largest table I have and just seal one side. If the tarp hangs down and touches the floor, as long as I can keep it from folding over on it's self, I'll put the sealer on. If I have to, I'll seal one section and wait 24 hours and seal another section. I like to wait 48 hours before packing it up into a stuff sack.
