Hey Chattooga, welcome and Merry Christmas! Is that user name a ref to the famous river? I rafted that 20 some years ago, and got thrown out of the raft! Still with a better outcome than the famous movie!
In your neck of the woods, it shouldn't be too inconvenient to get together with a group hang where you can learn it all in a few hours of observation! But in the meantime, ask away!
Yep, have done lots of camping along the Chattooga above where the rafting is done. So far, no banjo music

Ah, the Chatooga! That's one of my favorite places as well, particularly north of Burrell's Ford.
