    New Hanger in Seattle, WA

    Hi All,

I think it all began about 2 months ago when browsing a camping and hiking sub on Reddit that I was first introduced to Hammock Camping. Since then, I've watched a lot of Shug's videos, purchased a Hennessy Hammock, gotten a little bit of Dutchware and some Whoopie Slings, learned some knots I've tied before, and have gone for a few hangs in the local park. Oh. And I've been lurking for a while here :-)

Looking forward to embracing hanging, hammocks, tarps, camping, and everything that comes along with it. This sure seems like an awesome community.

Currently exploring if my Neoair Xlite Large is enough to keep me warm and comfortable here in PNW winters. Also looking into CRL options, going into porch mode without hiking poles (don't own any), and learning the pros/cons of the many different cord and guy line materials out there.

    Can't wait to hang,
    Woodspek

Hello and welcome from Marietta GA. it's no problem just to pick up a couple of locally found sticks for porch mode, typically. No hiking poles required. Happy hanging!
