How do you fold/put away tarp?

Well I bought my second hammock, a Speer IIIA. Everything comes in one nice silnylon bag. At first it was a challenge to get everything back in the one bag but in the end I more or less stuffed everything back in. Eventually I will make a BB bag but in the mean time, are there any suggestions for folding the tarp? It is silnylon and one slippery rascal. I haven't completely unfolded it yet because the weather is not nice today. I can see that it could be a challenge to fold in the field. If by yourself do you just wad it up and stuff it in a bag or try to be more organized than that?

Noobie trying to learn from the experienced.

I just stuff mine. And here's why: If you fold it, over time the folds will create lines, lines create weak spots and weak spots could eventually lead to leaks in your fly. So, IMO, the best thing to do is stuff the fly into the stuff sack.

I have one tarp in snakeskins and I just stuff the other. The tarp is kept in the outer mesh pouch of my pack.

I just unattach one end from the tree and begin stuffing it as walk to the other end. It unpacks much easier if you bundle your guylines carefully before you stuff it.
When it goes over their heads, it really doesn't matter how high it is.

You will also want to stuff your tarp and hammock in separate bags. Don't want to stuff a wet tarp in the same bag with your hammock.

I keep my tarp in a set of silnylon snake skins. I kinda roll it a little and then it get stuffed in the skin. I will be making a set of no-see-um skin soo so that the tarp can dry out.

My tarp goes in noseeum snake skins. In my pack it will go into a noseeum stuff sack with my rain gear if it is not raining. If it is it goes into the outside pocket of my pack.

Sometimes I don't even use a tarp stuffsack...I just stuff the tarp in the mesh pocket on the outside of my pack. An ounce saved...
