    DIY newB Lovin it

First 2 weeks of trying my hand at sewing...did my first crappy attempts at stuff sacks.

Got the kit for a pack cover and have not touched it yet

Picked up several Costco quilts to make some simple "summer" top quilts for wife and kids...and to make a couple chair underquilts - made my first attempt tonight:

    Nice. Keep practicing.
Best advice I got for sewing is "go slow and take your time." mom.
Be happy that you have a machine. Lot of ppl don't.

My first crude attempt at a custom stuff sack ...attaching a circle to a rectangle was kinda hard....

Great work! There's no such thing as crappy attempts; only happy accidents :-)

    I like the chair UQ.

If this is the kind of stuffsack you'd like to make... This YT vid has helped me a lot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZQ-7oQ3Vfo.

The chair uq is a brilliant idea. Ive never seen them before. Looks like i have a need for a few more CDTs.

Nice job on the chair UQ! Did you use a DIY for it or just figured it out as you went?

I tried again with a different material - made several cosmetic errors - I figure 5-20 more attempts and I'll get something closer to perfection lol

That chair cover is very nice. How hard was that to make?
