    While I can't say for sure where it will get too warm, it's been my experience that down has a much wider comfort range than synthetic. While a 20 degree synthetic may start to get hot at 40, a 20 degree down quilt will still be comfortable at much higher temps.

    I Plan on using 30degree quilts for all my 3 season use. If I get into winter camping i'll probably buy winter quilts.
