Hey all! I'm so glad to finally be part of the Hammock Forums. I've linked into some discussions here through my many Google searches about products, and reviews, and finally pulled the trigger to become a member. My name is Rick, but liked the ring of "RickyB hangin' so I went with it! A bit of history on me, I was an avid outdoor person growing up and into my 20s, but as time went on and obligations grew I put it on the back burner (can't believe for so long). Now I have a renewed spirit to explore again, and hammock camping has brought me back into it.
A big, huge thanks to Shug and his videos! About three years ago I began to explore camping equipment, which lead me to hammocks, which led me to his zany adventures. I've learned so much about the whole industry and the passion that goes with it, and now I'm thoroughly addicted to it. Some days it's all I think about, and if I can't get out for a weekend I'll string up my tarp just to fiddle with it! My wife thinks I'm crazy, but after reading a lot of comments on here I can see I'm not the only one! ;>)
I'm looking forward to learning more and exploring more too. Thanks again for having me!
