I'll bring along enough cash for a hammock in case you show up, Firesong. If you can't make it, I'll probably buy one anyway - without getting political, it's nice to support Canadian cottage industry. Any idea who's going in first? How will we find ya... etc?

A few years ago when I came later than everyone, we decided on a general location and Jayson marked the trail with some trail tape. For those going in early on Friday, maybe we can agree to meet at hwy 60 and Troutspawn Rd between 8:00 and 8:30 and maybe those arriving later can coordinate an arrival time so they can travel together.

I'll be driving up friday morning, arriving probably mid-afternoon. If anyone who did the recon can post a map screengrab of the ballpark parking / camping locations, that's enough to get started.

The recon group stayed on the far north end of the lake close to the road so why don't we say we stick to the north shore. The lake is only about 200 metres wide so it shouldn't be too hard to find the camp for late arrrivals.

About a 1/3 of the way down the north shore is nice and piney with hardwood right behind it. Little less noise from snowmobiles too.

Bubba and I hope to be on the road 6:00 am ish.
Anyone want to meet at timmies Barrie on dunlop drive east, say 7:00 am ish?

    Hey guys,

Whether we do the far northern bay or head a little further down to Ted's spot on the east shore, just south of the eastern bay, I'd ask that you put a large, highly visible flag, sheet, etc to guide the stragglers in. Please note that a beer can on a stick does not qualify as a visible marker for anywhere other than Octoberfest!

Parking should be available at the logging compound at Troutspawn and Hwy60. If the first in could post a parking update, that'd be great.

Looking forward to seeing you guys there.

That's actually where I was just looking a couple hours ago.

We'll make sure to mark the way. We'll use an empty whiskey bottle on a stick instead.

Need to confirm with Mark for sure but I imagine we will leave around 7am...ish. Which puts us in Barrie 9-930 and Hwy 60/Troutspawn rd Noonish.

We do have room for a passenger if anyone wants to join us. We will be getting on the 400 at Cookstown(Hwy89) so can meet anywhere North of that. PM me and we can work out firm details.
