Cool pics. Somebody should start a hammock modification service.

Funny, I've been thinking the same thing. Not only modifying but custom hammocks, tarps, etc. BlackBishop made my BlackCat tarp and a pair of snakeskins. Excellent work by the way. I think he's a little busy with those quilts though.
Let's see....I'd like to order a 1.9oz olive drab 10 foot hammock with removable zipper no seeum bugnet. Ring/buck supports (12 feet webbing per side)
A top cover for sub freezing temps.
This might open up that patent conversation again.

I'm in the minority here, but I'm very satisfied with the MacCat Standard. It gives me plenty of coverage, and even when it's giving me good coverage it still hangs high enough on the sides that I get great views from underneath it. The Deluxe hangs down so much lower on the sides that you have to hang it at much less of an angle to get the views...a bit more difficult, but not too much, I guess. Still, I've had two hammocks under the Standard in the rain and neither of us got wet. One of the hammocks was my 7yo's, but still...plenty of coverage for both of us.
The only downside I've seen with the Standard is when it's really cold and windy...the Deluxe provides more side protection from the wind.
