This weekend I was away for work so I decided to pack the backpack and hit the trails. It wasn't quite as easy as I had hoped, making reservations for backpacking camps was tough. I finally found a spot at the fourth park I called, Lost Maples State Natural Area in Vanderpool, TX. It was about a 3 1/2 hour drive from where I am.

The weekend was nice, highs in the 50's, lows in the low 30's. Part of the park was packed, and had me worried. But I did find the side of the park that seems a little less traveled, and I really enjoyed it. I took a lot of video, like over 5 hours of it. I did some food reviews, and some gear reviews. Some of them I pulled completely out of these videos and they will become stand alone videos, like my review of the Dutch Half-wit Hammock.

Anyway, enjoy the videos! (link to the 2nd one is at the end of the first one)
