If we start running into issues with parking, we will have to figure something out. I don't want to leave any cars at the memorial, it's to remote and far away from camp and don't want anything to happen.

There is a road that loops around the whole site and we need to keep that clear for the rangers to get around so we can't just line cars up on it. I might take a trip down this weekend just to figure something out. I might even stop by the ranger station to talk to them about it. I know we can leave cars at the Atsion station, so maybe we will run a shuttle after people get set to drop cars off there. It's a 20 minute drive but might be an option. Maybe if you are meeting someone, you can meet there, condense into one car and just bring one car in.

We might be ok but I just want to plan ahead just in case.
I think we'll be okay. There's some places to park along the road just outside of camp. If that gets crowded, I think the rangers will be okay if we park at the experimental fields (what I've always called them).

Batona Camp is located right where the road turns right, and the experimental fields are a couple hundred yards east of there.

Not that anybody does a head count, but didn't we have at least 70 people at the NJ Winter Hang a few years ago?

I think HangCon in Florida might be the biggest - they claimed to have over 300 participants last year.

79 was the informal count, not all 'overnighters'

The fields are home to some birds, there are nesting boxes in the field. I hiked the perimeter at the last hang and some trucks had torn up the perimeter road. Parking along the road should be fine but I would not use the pull offs without permission, what with all the recent ticket writing and all.

If you read through all 157 posts in this thread, you'll probably find that GreatBigDave reserved site 3 but won't be able to make it. He will transfer the site to someone else, so all sites are reserved.

That's because someone deleted me from the sheet. I have site 3 and will transfer it to George.

Does anyone know how the reservation transfer process works? Can I just put George's name as the primary occupant when I get the pre-check-in email?

Anyone want to get out and camp tonight. A friend and I are going into Brendan Byrne to test out the dusty hammocks tonight(1-13-2017). I'm going for a site across the road from the shower facility but we'll see what we get. Saturday supposed to snow 50% chance so I'm heading out Tonight because I didn't sign up in time for the winter hang. I have a silver Kia soul my buddy has a white pathfinder. Plenty of sites available.

I will be at site 5. The fee for one night is $10 per person. Crazy right?
