I do not see a lot people jumping in or any of the regulars from the past hangs.... Are you sure you don't want to push it out a little to give people a bit more time to plan and get the numbers up? Just a thought. I would aim for Feb 20-22. I bet you get a lot more people to come out.

    OR>Mt.Hood> Annual Yeti Hang?

I've already made plans to go the weekend of January 20-22 and will be up there regardless of the number. Too difficult to rearrange for me at this point. I hope to see some of you up there!

To be fair, last year there was only 6 or so of us that actually showed up. I will be heading down for the 20th and possible a second trip if we decide to move the big one out to feb.

I was not saying not to go out there and hang. Just that you could have the "Yeti Hang" be much larger. The first year we held it we were out there 2-3 times before the hang itself. Its a fun area to hang. It would be cool to hold it at a time where many of the original crew could come out and join. Last year was the first year I did not go due to me being a silly football fan.

Great! Sounds like there will be at least 3 of us there the weekend of the 20-22nd. Hopefully more will be able to make it as well.

The Super Bowl was not the reason.. we were all home way before Pre Game festivities... Not sure what the issue was.. but needless to say attendance was poor.
We did have a good time.. but it would have been better if more folks were there.
But that's just my 2 cents.
I am camping in the hammock in the snow 4 out of the next 6 weekends.. so it's not a lack of "want to"..
There will NEVER be a perfect weekend for everyone (dates) so it just has to come down to pick a date and go with it.
I do agree that someone needs to step up and start the planning around September/October so everyone can have a better opportunity to clear calendars etc.
Think Gary needs to just take things over and be the tip of the spear.
    All in favor say I...
    LOL
Have fun all that can be there.

I totally agree with you Jerry
I have a few dozen hammock friendly places that I want to camp at once the spring hits.

Honestly I'm not much of the organizer type but I wouldn't mind throwing one up every month or two with a location, time and date.

As for this Yeti hang I can't bring the superbowl to anyone.... buuuut if it helps anyone come hang I'm an experienced homebrewer and I can bring some great beer and a football

If we had group hangs more often I'm guessing that with a bit of time we could gather a good group of hangers.
