Are there still folks planning to bring their kayaks?

Could be fun. Drove past the Angelina today and it's REALLY high. High water makes for good paddling round these parts (fewer obstructions in the river at this depth), and the current is still quite slow.
You might need a GPS to stay in the river channel, though. I think the Angelina was nearly 1/2 mile wide on US 59 today.

I'm headed up that way Friday morning, so I'll be around when people start rolling in most likely.
Hanging out, waiting for the wood, and the coffee .....
Don't know if Tom is coming along or not ....

hey, anyone have an extra bug net and/or tarp I could borrow in case mine don't arrive in time?
I ordered a bug net and tarp last week, and I've not heard from either company yet about order tracking or anything. I fear that the items won't be here by the weekend.
Thanks to some mixups when we originally got our hammocks, we have several extra Hennessy tarps. I'll be happy to bring them along -- two stock diamonds and a hex tarp that we won't otherwise be using.
Can't help ya on the bug net, though we'll also have the two complete Expedition models that we got from the Christmas special
THanks on that...it looks now like there might be some precip over the weekend, so the tarp might be the most important part.
Just got an e-mail back from warbonnet, and they're a bit behind on orders. Might not get my bug net in time, as it hasn't shipped yet (hopefully some prodding will convince them to get it out today).
thanks for the offers, but at least my tarp is here now (mailman knocked on my door a few minutes ago).
all I'm lacking is a bug net, and unless anyone's got an extra ENO or WB, I'll probably be going without this weekend.
Now to play with pitching this thing in the backyard.
I am working on digitizing some map data I found in a map image so it can be loaded onto a GPS. Coordinates of road intersections and such for those so inclined to use them.
Here you go. You can view the waypoints in a Google Map. Below the map, there is a link to download the .gpx file containing these points.
