Another great vid, Shug! Thanks for sharing. We never get that kind of slop down here in your old stomping grounds. We sure were happy to get the good rain yesterday to knock the fires down. It's been a hard season for the Ole Smokies...

Anyway, love your vids and love your joie de vivre, brother!

Great video shug! I'm gonna be a poor man when I've bought everything i need for the trips you make me want to take!

Just curious, why didn't you bring your superfly on this trip?

If you got the warm gear then Winter is a ton 'o fun.

I had it in the car but missed my Blackcrow DIY tarp. Living on the edge. I like to switch back and forth. Superfly is so huge!

Woo Buddy! Winter has hit Northern Minnesota. Meanwhile it is still in the 40s at night here in New York State. Good video Shug. You had one heck of a campsite by that river.

I always drop whatever I am doing to watch a new Shug video.

I love Early Winter in the woods except for maybe when it rains:-)

A useful tool in winter is an ice axe. A requirement in mountainous regions but sometimes helpful chopping through ice to get to a water source. Even if you don't reach the water, melting chucks of ice is a bit more efficient than melting snow.

Thanks again, Shug. Any chance of a couple of day trip videos to the back 40. It has been awhile since you last visited the swamp.

We beat though the ice with a big stick. It was about 2" thick at the edge.
