I know we like to keep it light around here but I've got to bring up a subject I've received literally dozens of emails and private messages about.
I want to assure everybody who is panicking that I have made a huge batch of Pennsylvania Dutch Red Beet Pickled Eggs.
Not to belabor the point, but I just want to make it perfectly clear for those justifiably concerned that there would be no shortage of said delicious treats.
Thank you for your patience in the matter.

By all accounts, George at Loco Libre makes incredible products. Deservedly his buisness is occupying more and more of the hammock gear market every day.
This year George has generously donated (2) $75 gift certificates for our raffle benefitting Home for our Troops.
He also mentioned that he might come out and see us next year. Send him a quick hello and tell him to get his butt out this way next time so we can thank him in person!
Do our great vendors and volunteers that support the hammocking community and our veterans a favor and keep these guys in mind the next time you're looking for a piece of quality gear! Give them a like on Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media you find them. If you’re so inclined a little note to them thanking them for the donation would be swell, too!
See you at the hang!

SoCal Hangers March 9th Group Hang Rapidly Approaching!
Peter at Litesmith is a fantastic source for finding backpacking and camping gear that is focused on reducing pack weight and mass. He has a great passion for this as is reflected on his website store. best of all, he's local right here in Orange County.
This year Peter is generously donating his time and skills to be doing a brief map-reading demo for us and leading a group hike on the Viejo Tie Trail, 7 miles round trip, 700 ft elevation gain.
"At Litesmith, we use a lightweight mindset and extensive backcountry experience to design and manufacture better adventure gear. We strive for simple designs that meet the needs of those who like to carry just enough to be safe and comfortable.
We like to think adventure is more about the trail than the summit. About spending time, not money. About connecting, rather than plugging in. And listening, not yacking. About the here and now, instead of the future. Adventure is something memorable, exciting, and new. We hope to join you for an adventure."

Holy crap! Almost March 9th already?
Elemental Hammock is one of the few hammock manufacturers out here on The West Coast. Shad Giordano makes great products and is growing his business more and more every day. With every Elemental hammock being custom made to ensure a proper fit and hang it’s no surprise he’s building a solid reputation so quickly.
He has donated a Gear Loft and Ridgeline Organizer set. These things look fantastic!
